1. THE FONT AND THIS LICENSE
“Font” means the Tetrominoes font software distributed with this license,
including Tetrominoes Monochrome, Tetrominoes Color on Light, Tetrominoes Color
on Dark, and their supplied OTF and TTF versions. “You” means the person or
organization exercising permissions under this license. This is a license,
not a sale or transfer of ownership. By exercising these permissions, you
agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use or redistribute the Font.

2. FREE NON-COMMERCIAL USE
Michael Swarts grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license
to install and use the Font on any number of devices for non-commercial
purposes. Non-commercial means the use is not primarily intended for or
directed toward commercial advantage, monetary compensation, business
promotion, sales, or fundraising.

Examples permitted without payment include personal artwork and invitations;
unpaid classroom assignments, teaching materials, and academic research;
and freely shared hobby projects with no advertising, paid access, sales,
sponsorship, or business promotion. Nonprofit status alone does not make a
use non-commercial: an unpaid educational or community project may qualify,
but fundraising campaigns, merchandise sales, or paid services do not.

You may create and share printed, rasterized, or outlined work for these
permitted purposes. You may embed or subset the Font in a non-commercial
website, document, ebook, application, or game solely to display that
project’s text. Include this copyright notice and license with embedded
font files, or in the project's bundled legal notices. Do not offer the
embedded font separately or as a general font-download service. Technical
access inherent in normal webfont delivery is permitted.

You may make backup copies, convert formats, subset, and modify your own
copies solely for permitted non-commercial use. Keep copyright and license
notices. Public distribution of modified font software requires separate
written permission. These terms do not require disclosure of your artwork
or your project’s source code, and do not impose this license on your work.

Attribution in finished artwork is appreciated, but is not required.

3. COMMERCIAL USE REQUIRES A SEPARATE PAID LICENSE
Before commercial use, obtain a separate written commercial license from
Michael Swarts and pay the agreed fee. Contact https://michaelswarts.com.
Downloading this package does not grant commercial rights. No commercial
price or automatic payment obligation is established by this license.

Commercial use includes, for example:
- Business branding, logos, advertising, packaging, and promotional materials.
- Paid client work, whether or not the client is a nonprofit.
- Products for sale, merchandise, paid publications, and print-on-demand goods.
- Monetized or sponsored content, and projects supported by advertising.
- Business websites, commercial apps or games, and subscription services.
- Fundraising, ticketed promotions, and templates or assets offered for sale.

Commercial use of rasterized or outlined output also requires a commercial
license; converting text to an image or outlines does not avoid this term.
Private, unpublished testing of the Font to decide whether to buy a commercial
license is permitted at no charge. Testing does not permit client delivery,
public promotion, production deployment, or sales.

A commercial license is valid only as specified in the separate written
grant. That grant identifies the licensee, permitted uses, fee, and any
installation, embedding, client, or distribution limits. Unless explicitly
changed by that grant, this license governs any rights not covered there.
If you are unsure whether your use qualifies, request clarification before
using the Font commercially.

4. SHARING AND RESTRICTIONS
You may share the complete, unmodified distribution package without charging
for it, including this license and all notices. Recipients receive the same
non-commercial permissions directly under these terms. You may link to the
official download page. Neither sharing nor downloading transfers ownership.

You may not sell, sublicense, rent, or charge for the Font itself; distribute
font-only copies without this license; claim authorship of the original
Font; remove copyright or license notices; or use the Font for commercial
purposes without a separate commercial license. Bundling with a sold product
or paid service requires written commercial permission. A commercial license
does not grant font redistribution rights unless it expressly says so.

5. OWNERSHIP AND OTHER RIGHTS
Michael Swarts retains ownership of the Font and original design to the
extent protected by applicable law. You retain ownership of your original
work made with the Font. No trademark rights or endorsement are granted.
Tetrominoes is an independent font project and is not affiliated with or
endorsed by the owners of Tetris. No rights to third-party brands are granted.

6. NO WARRANTY; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Font is provided
“as is,” without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness
for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Michael Swarts is not liable
for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits,
or data loss arising from use of the Font. Nothing in these terms excludes
rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

7. TERMINATION AND EXISTING WORK
Your permissions under this license end if you materially breach it. Upon
notice of a curable breach, you have 30 days to cure it; permissions are
reinstated when the breach is cured within that period. Otherwise stop using
and distributing the Font and remove your copies, except an archival copy
required by law. A recipient who complies with this license does not lose
their own permissions because of your breach.

Compliant use under this version may continue under these terms; later
license changes do not retroactively revoke permissions granted here.
Termination does not require recall of physical copies of previously
compliant finished work. New use and distribution must remain authorized.
