LICENSING FAQ — plain-language guide
LICENSE.txt controls if this guide and the license differ.

Is it free?
Yes for non-commercial use. Commercial use requires a separate paid license.

Can I use it for personal artwork, a school assignment, or a hobby project?
Yes, when the project is non-commercial under LICENSE.txt.

Can I use it for a business logo or for paid client work?
A commercial license is required, including when your client is a nonprofit.

What about merchandise, ads, monetized videos, or a paid app/game?
A commercial license is required. Making the text an image or outlines does
not turn a commercial use into a free one.

Can my nonprofit use it for free?
For a qualifying unpaid non-commercial activity, yes. Fundraising, sold
merchandise, paid services, and paid client work require commercial permission.

May I embed it in a free, non-monetized hobby website or game?
Yes, within the non-commercial embedding terms in LICENSE.txt. Include the
license in bundled legal notices and do not offer the font separately.

Do I need to credit Michael Swarts in my artwork?
Attribution is appreciated but not required. Preserve the notices when
sharing the package or embedding the font files.

Can I send the fonts to a friend?
Share the complete unmodified ZIP at no charge, with its license and notices.
Do not sell the font or redistribute font-only copies without the license.

Can I modify it?
You may modify your own copies for permitted non-commercial use. Distributing
modified font software requires separate written permission.

Can I test it before buying a commercial license?
Private, unpublished evaluation is free. Do not deliver client work, publish
promotional work, launch commercially, or sell output until licensed.

Where do I buy a commercial license?
Contact Michael Swarts through https://michaelswarts.com. Agree the use,
price, and written license before commercial use. This ZIP has no commercial
license grant, checkout link, fixed price, or implied purchase.

Is this open-source or SIL Open Font Licensed?
No. It is distributed under its own non-commercial license. Do not substitute
an open-source license that would grant commercial rights.
